My favorite part of winter in Chicago is…traveling someplace warmer ;) This year I headed to Mexico City and some charming nearby pueblas. I’m back in Chicago now and freezing again, but it was a fun warmup. Here are some of my travel snaps:
Really excited to see my photography featured on Apartment Therapy, a site that I happen to be totally obsessed with (who isn’t?)! Click here for my photos from this fun house tour I shot in Chicago’s Logan Square, styled by Brooke Doyle (or scroll below):
This minimalist apartment in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood totally gives me the feels…probably because it has such a Scandinavian vibe (and if you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m a sucker for all things Nordic!). Here are some of my favorites from this hyggelig photoshoot:
New Anthropologie x Liberty London chairs…I looove them (and so does my little monster)! I’m still waiting for the table to arrive, so in the meantime my hallway has turned into what I now call “the kitten waiting room” ;)
I really enjoyed photographing this sweet and pretty family apartment with its muted and earth-toned palette. And isn’t the children’s nursery just so perfectly charming?
I’ve recently shot a few projects for Dutch flooring company, Hakwood, both in Chicago and in London. Here are some of my favorites from a shoot in Chicago’s Lincoln Park:
I finally got sick of my plain (minimalist??) living room wall and fireplace mantle, which is now anything but plain. It’s still a work-in-progress (I want a couple more pieces for the left side, but I’m holding out until those perfect pieces come to me). Added bonus—my kitten realizes that there’s not an inch of space up there for her and hasn’t even tried to jump up, so I can still light candles without fear of them being knocked over (phew). I’m also really happy to showcase two of my favorite pieces, which happen to have been made by my 10-year-old son—the 3D yarn sculpture and the pink and gold oil painting.
…but can you really blame me? ;-)

I’m excited to share the photos from my recent House Tour for ‘Cup of Jo,’ which I shot on location in Chicago’s South Side Hyde Park neighborhood. Here’s the link (and tell me you’re not totally obsessed with this home!): https://cupofjo.com/2017/10/amanda-jane-jones-house-tour/
