I’m excited to share these photos of a home tour from a 100+ year-old home in Chicago’s North Side because they’re just so unexpected, exuding much more of an old-world feel than you’d expect to find in a big metropolitan city. This feeling has been carefully crafted by the homeowner, Grainne, and her love of all things vintage and antique, as well as from her frequent travels to Asia and Europe. Of her antiques, Grainne says, “There’s a story with everything and that travels with the piece. It makes my home feel solid and long-lasting and I like that.” Check out the home below!
A bold, modern space by Hence Interiors featuring custom lighting by McKenzie & Keim, shot in Chicago’s Roscoe Village neighborhood.
A preview of my recent shoot for CID Design Group, featuring their latest project for 1401 South State Luxury Apartments in Chicago.
A little preview of my most recent shoot for Hence Interiors, shot on location in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood. (Next up, some views from a contemporary Roscoe Village home!)
A few of my faves from my shoot with Sarah Montgomery Design, who styled this mid-century modern flat to perfection!
I shot this contemporary home in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood earlier this month, featuring a striking wooden staircase that acts as an open divider between the living area and kitchen.
A sneak peak from a recent shoot for Homepolish, styled by interior designer Allison Murphy and photographed on location in a 19th century home in the Chicago suburbs.
Tiny homes are all the rage right now, and it was really fun to see one with my own eyes (and to photograph it!). The home tour is up now on Dwell in an article entitled, “An 860-Square-Foot Tiny Home Becomes a Summer Haven For a Family of Five,” plus more images on my website (and a few faves below).
One of my photos is featured today on Dwell in a How-To Guide about hanging art and creating gallery walls. Thanks for the feature, Dwell!
